Attractive, 3-pieced WH (Heeres o. KM) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') showing resp. an: 'EK II. Kl.', a: 'WH (Heeres o. KM)-DA für 4 Jahre TD' (with attached eagle-device) and a: 'Westwall'-medal
The truly attractive - I deem early-war-period- and nicely preserved! - WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) three-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') is showing respectively an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron-cross second class), a: 'WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) Dienstauszeichnung für 4 Jahre Treue Dienste' (or: army- or naval loyal-service medal for four years of loyal service) that comes with a detailed, silver-coloured eagle-device attached) and a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (or: 'Westall'-medal) all three awards coming in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. All three awards are very nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty condition and naturally also come mounted on their period ribbons. The attractive 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron-cross second class) was with certainty never cleaned and has a very nice and/or attractive age-patina: it truly retains a fair bit of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally 'darkened tarnish' (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'matted'- ie. satin-like) core: it is truly void of any damage or alike. The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung' has a neat, minimally darkened appearance and is only minimally tarnished (ie. has a minimally darkened age-patina): it comes with its firmly attached, silver-toned miniature eagle-device (as issued and worn). The 'Westwall'-medal is a neat Buntmetall'-based specimen that has an attractive golden-bronze-coloured age-patina (simply caused by decades of storage) and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The entire 'Spange' comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch set-up and is nicely 'backed' with a piece of green-coloured wool as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike: it originated from a private-household and was kept as such for decades. Simply a very attractive - and truly decorative! - three-pieced, WH-Heeres o. Kriegsmarine-related medal-bar- ie. 'Spange'-set that is in my opinon accordingly priced!
