Stunning - albeit non-maker-marked - example of a golden-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold') being of the: 'Übergrösse Wiedmann/Deschler'-variant that comes in an overall nice- (ie. minimally used- and/or worn-), condition

The very attractive - typically non-maker-marked- and non-magnetic - golden-class and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold') is an example of the so-called: 'Übergrösse Wiedmann/Deschler'-variant (which is easily recognisable due to its slightly larger format and/or typically styled catch- ie. pin-set-up) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just minimally used- and/or worn-), condition. Truly most of its original, bright-golden-coloured- (and/or: somewhat 'frosted'-styled) finish has been nicely preserved and it is just a tiny bit 'dusty' and/or minimally stained (as can be seen of the pictures). The badge is as stated a non-maker-marked- (and I deem somewhat later- ie. mid-war-period-) example that was produced by the: 'E. Ferdinand Wiedmann' (ie. evt. 'Deschler & Sohn'-) company as was based in the town of Frankfurt a.M. (ie. 'Hersteller 16'). Of course, are the (regular- ie. flute-shaped- and also non-magnetic) pin and/or typical catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust and/or staining as to be expected. Simply a very attractive and rarely encountered example of a fully untouched, 'variant'-pattern 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Gold' that is most certainly accordingly priced!
