Superb - and very unusually found! - HJ-related 'tinnie' (ie. 'Tagungs- o. Veranstaltungsabzeichen') showing a colourful (ie. painted) HJ-'Raute' and text that reads: 'Bann 187 - Holstein - Eutin - 24. August 1934'
This is a very attractive - and with certainty very scarcely found! - so-called: HJ- ('Hitlerjugend') ie. DJ- ('Deutsches Jungvolk') related day-badge or 'tinnie' (ie. 'Tagungs- o. Veranstaltungsabzeichen') showing a colourful HJ-'Raute' and oakleaves and text that reads: 'Bann 187 - Holstein - Eutin - 24. August 1934' and that is surrounded by the (runic-script) text: 'Wenn die Väter die Schwerter zerschlagen Schmieden die Söhne neue' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit issued- ie. I deem just moderately worn-), condition. The circular-shaped piece is executed from greyish-silver-toned- (ie. I deem 'Eisenblech'-based) metal and is (as more often) totally void of a makers'designaton. The piece shows some normal wear and/or moderate age but has not been cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit dirty but has maintained a nice, minimally darkened- ie. tarnished, age-patina and holds most of its period-apllied finish). The medium-sized piece (having an approximate diameter of 3,7 cms.) comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. pin/catch set-up and shows some minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that all youth-related tinnies that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'towns'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply a nice occasion to acquire an attractive - and truly very unusally found! - HJ- ('Hitlerjugend') ie. specific DJ- ('Deutsches Jungvolk') related, so-called: 'Tagungs- o. Veranstaltungsabzeichen' for a justified price!
