Attractive - and/or fully matching! - WH (Heeres), 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard-pair (that comes mounted on its unsually seen: 'Auf der Steg'-mounting!) as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 47'

This is an attractive - and/or fully matching! - WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard-pair (that comes mounted on its unsually seen: 'Auf der Steg'-mounting!) and that is piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 47' (or: army-captain who served within the infantry regiment, numbered: '47') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just moderately used ie. worn- and/or clearly tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards come mounted on their seldomly seen 'Auf der Steg'-set-up ie. mounting and where most likely used onto a white-coloured- (or: summer-type-) tunic. They are truly 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type 'Infanterie'-shoulderboards and have the bright-silver- (ie. somewhat shiny-) 'upperdecks'. The boards show the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and are constructed from the smooth- ie. 'moleskin'-type wool). The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows a fully matching set of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized ie. older-styled and/or identical) '4'- and/or: '7'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and four (equally-styled) pips period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). All eight devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patin. The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each. The pair was most certainly used and/or worn as such and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (some minimal damage on both 'Auf der Steg'-mountings is present (the boards are nevertheless fully functional and can easily serve to complete a tunic). Simply an attractive - and comparatively scarcely encountered! - officers'-type, 'Infanterie'-related shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 47'!
