Unusually found medal-set: 'Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. März 1938' that came mounted onto its (scarcely seen!) pinkish-red-coloured- and/or Austrian-styled ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt')
This is an attractive - and nicely preserved albeit I deem minimally used- ie. worn! - medal-set: 'Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. März 1938' or: Austrian 'Anschluss'-medal) was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Austria that started on: '1. März 1938' and that came mounted onto its (scarcely seen!) pinkish-red-coloured- and/or typical, Austrian- ie. trapezoid-styled ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem issued- and/or moderately worn-), condition. The specimen retains an attractive and just minimally 'tarnished' age-patina and has (I deem) never been cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. Most of its (as stated minimally 'tarnished') silver-coloured finish has been very nicely preserved, giving the medal a very nice and/or detailed appearance. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and comes as recently found. Simply an attractive - and unusually found! - Austrian 'Anschluss'-medal that will be hard to be upgraded!
