The neat - and most certainly detailed! - WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) so-called: 'Kraftfahrbewährungs-Abzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class drivers' proficiency-badge) retains both its original prongs and also retains its period, metal-based 'back-plate' in place as is more often encountered: it was never cleaned and truly retains most of its somewhat tarnished, greyish-silver-toned surface (as can be seen on the pictures). As stated above, was this nicely pronounced (and magnetic- ie. I deem steel-based) arm-badge issued and/or worn: it was period-mounted onto a (field-grey-coloured) piece of wool but missed its backing-paper (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a truly used WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) so-called: 'Kraftfahrbewährungs-Abzeichen in Silber' that will be hard to be upgraded!
