Superb - fully matching and truly rarely found! - pair of Waffen-SS, officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for usage by an: 'Obersturmführer' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served as a: 'Waffen-SS Fachführer'

This is a very attractive - fully matching and actually rarelyy encountered! - typical Waffen-SS pair of officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the neat (typically) 'twisted' red-and-grey- (ie. 'roter- u. grauer'-) coloured branchcolour and having black-coloured 'underlays', as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Obersturmführer' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served as a: 'Waffen-SS Fachführer' (ie. officer with special duties) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just minimally used- and/or worn- ie. most certainly tunic-removed-), condition. The boards - which never had any tongues and that were worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type as more often encountered - have the 'twisted' red-and-grey- (ie. 'roter- u. grauer'-) coloured and/or: linnen-type piping attached and measure 11,5 cms. in length as more often encountered. The pieces show some moderate age, wear and/or staining and show a matching (and golden-toned- albeit minimally tarnished) pair of pips attached denoting the officers-rank of: 'Obersturmführer' (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be mentioned that that the 'twisted' red-and-grey- (ie. 'roter- u. grauer'-) coloured ie. 'Fachführer'-branchcolour was institutioned as late as June 1942 by a special decree of the 'Reichsführer-SS' Heinrich Himmler and can be graded as one of the most difficult to encounter branchcolours within the SS: this is also the first such neat pair I ever had on offer. Simply a very attractive - and fully 'text-book'! - Waffen-SS shoulderboard-pair that was worn by a: 'Waffen-SS Fachführer' and that comes in wonderful and truly untouched condition!
