The very attractive - and typical early-type- and/or non-magnetic - black-class wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') was (I deem) simply never worn nor used: it comes in a truly very nicely preserved- and fully untouched condition as stored for decades. Truly all of its original, black-coloured- (and/or: somewhat 'shiny'-styled- ie. satin-like) finish has been nicely preserved and it is just a tiny bit 'dusty' and/or minimally stained (as can be seen of the pictures). The badge is as stated a non-maker-marked- (and I deem early-period-) example of the so-called: 'chaotic-pebbled'-pattern that is executed in non-magnetic, so-called: 'Tombak'-based material. Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped- and also non-magnetic) pin and/or catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust and/or staining as to be expected. To date these 'chaotic-pebbled'-pattern black-wound badges have not been attributed to a specific maker although it is known that examples have been found coming packed in pouches by the 'Gustav Brehmer'-company. Of additional interest is, of course, that this specimen came stored in its period beige-toned (and somewhat simpified), two-pieced carton-based box (ie. etui) as issued and stored for decades (the thin-shaped piece of wrapping-paper is also there). This etui is totally void of any makers'-mark- or designation but comes in an overall wonderful condition. It is obvious that these etui’s are actually X-times more rarely encountered than the badge itself and this is just the second such time that I have such a completely untouched set on offer. Simply a very attractive and I deem early-war-period- and/or period-'boxed' example of a: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz' of the 'chaotic-pebbled'-pattern that is with certainty accordingly priced!
