Attractive - and never used! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as was executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid as was intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
This is an attractive - and presumably issued- albeit never used! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and quite detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid on a darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (and as stated above almost 'mint'- and never tunic-attached-), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 11 cms. - is nicely hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a darker-green-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and does show some 'high-lighted'-areas as executed in bright-silver- ie. light-green-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often and that does show minimal storage only as can be noticed on the pictures - shows a neat additional 'backing' (made-out of black-toned- and thin-shaped paper as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle of the 'Extra Qualität' that is accordingly priced!
