Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the black-coloured branchcolour as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant des Pionier-Batallions 2'

The attractive WH (Heeres) pair is neatly piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour and was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant des Pionier-Batallions 7' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within the 'Pionier'- (ie. engineers) 'Bataillion' (ie. battalion), numbered: '2') and comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just minimally used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Pioniere'-shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-pattern) 'upperdecks' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards show the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour and were constructed from the typical 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected. The boards come mounted onto their typical smaller-sized tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures) and measure approximately 11 cms. in length each. They were most certainly issued- and/or worn as such and do show moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows a fully matching set of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized and/or identical) '2'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and an (equally-styled) pair of pips period-attached. All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) officers-pattern shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant des Pionier-Batallions 2'!
