Attractive - and fully matching! - WH (Heeres) officers'-insignia-set (comprising of a pair of shoulderboards and ID-disc!) as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann und Mitglied des Stabes des Pionier-Batallions 7'
The attractive - and I deem just moderately used and/or worn! - WH (Heeres) officers'-insignia-set (that is comprising of a fully matching pair of officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour and accompanying ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann und Mitglied des Stabes des Pionier-Batallions 7' (or captain who served within the staff of the army-engineers unit ie. battalion, numbered: '7') and that comes in an overall nice- (and most certainly worn!), condition. The attractive shoulderboard-pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall very nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 10,7 cms. in length each - show a matching (golden-toned, smaller-sized) pair of '7'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and four (regular-sized and matching) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Hauptmann'. The straps come mounted onto their smaller-sized tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') is executed in aluminium and comes mounted onto its (period-attached- and/or typical linnen-based) cord and is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Stb.Pi.Btl.7'. It comes in an overall very nice condition (and is executed in a very attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat 'torn-out' holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc shows the soldiers'-blood-group-type ('Type A') as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). This smaller-sized but interesting grouping was never before in collectors'-hands and belonged to an officer who wore these and after that stored them for decades. Simply a very attractive - and truly worn! - shoulderboard-pair and accompanying ID-disc that was intended for a: 'Hauptmann und Mitglied des Stabes des Pionier-Batallions 7'!
