Superb, 3-pieced WWII-period medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') of the desirable 'detachable'-pattern showing resp. a: 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Stufe' and two (Austrian and/or Czech) 'Anschluss'-medals
The truly attractive - and very nicely preserved! - three-pieced (WWII- ie. TR-period) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') shows respectively a: 'WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stufe für 4 Jahre treue Dienste' (or: loyal-service medal for 4 years of loyal service) that comes with a detailed, bright-silver-coloured eagle-device firmly attached, a silver-toned: WH Austrian occupation medal: '1 März 1938' (as was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Austria, which started on 1 March 1938) and a neatly golden-toned: WH Czech occupation medal: '1 Oktober 1938' (as was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938), all three awards coming in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. All three awards are truly nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty (ie. used) condition and come naturally mounted on their period ribbons. The WH loyal-service medal is a truly very nicely preserved example that seems to have never been cleaned nor polished: it comes in a minimally tarnished- ie. dusty condition and shows a neat (silver-toned) eagle-device period-attached. Both 'Anschluss'-medals have an attractive silver- (ie. golden-bronze-) coloured age-patina (simply caused by decades of storage) and were most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The entire 'Spange' (which is of the 'detachable-pattern') comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch set-up and is nicely 'backed' with a piece of field-grey-coloured (felt-like) wool as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). This neat medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike and was kept as such for decades. Simply an attractive - and truly decorative! - three-pieced medal-bar that is nowadays not that easily found and that is most certainly accordingly priced!
