WH (Heeres) silver-greyish-coloured and zinc-based (albeit non-maker-marked) so-called: M43-cap-badge (ie. 'Mützenabzeichen') depicting an: 'Edelweiss'-flower as was used by the various 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troops-) related divisional-staff
This is a neat - and I deem just moderately used- and/or worn - example of a WH (Heeres) silver-greyish-coloured and typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based albeit non-maker-marked, so-called: M43-cap-badge (ie. 'Mützenabzeichen') depicting an: 'Edelweiss'-flower as was used by the various 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troops-) related divisional-staff throughout the war. The piece - which is executed in (typical) zinc-based metal and having a separately attached, golden-toned and/or also 'Feinzink'-based 'core' - is totally void of a makers'-designation (ie. logo) as is more often the case (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge is a tiny bit stained but was never cleaned nor polished. Simply a great occasion to acquire a 100% original 'Gebirgsjäger'-related cap-badge for a competitive price!
