This is an attractive 4-pieced, WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing respectively the ribbons for an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a: 'Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' (or: 'Ost'-medal), a: Czech 'Anschluss'-medal (that is having a detailed and somewhat smaller-sized miniature 'Prager Burg-Spange' firmly- and period-attached) which medal was. awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) and a: Romanian medal 'Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus', all ribbons (and 'Auflage') coming in a wonderful- and only moderately used- ie. worn, condition. The ribbons are of the regular (ie. smaller), ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1 cms. each (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is neatly 'backed' with a piece of field-grey-coloured wool (as more often). The attached (and very detailed!) device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been very nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply a very attractive and somewhat larger-sized 'Feld- o. Bandspange' having an unusual combination: great to decorate almost any WWII-tunic!
