Attractive - and scarcely encountered! - typical maker- (ie. 'L/53'-) marked example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class IAB) as was produced by the (truly unusually seen!) maker: 'Hymmen & Co.'

This example is an attractive - and I deem only moderately used and/or worn – typically maker- (ie. 'L/53'-) marked award: it has a 'typical' catch- and/or hinge (-set-up) as always encountered with IABs by this particular maker. This specimen can be determined as a 'mid-war-period-variant' that can be attributed to the (unusually seen!) maker: 'Hymmen & Co.' (ie. 'Hersteller L/53') as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid. The war-badge was with certainly issued and comes in a just minimally used- and/or worn, condition (as can be seen on the pictures). It was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished and truly retains most of its (farily bright!) silver-coloured finish as can be seen on the pictures (something that is NOT always the case with these mid-war-period 'Hymmen'-examples). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and/or present (they are both in pristine condition). The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows as stated above only minimal wear, age and/or staining. Simply a very attractive 'solid-back' IAB-variant by the desirable maker 'Hymmen & Co.' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
