Regrettably incomplete - but nevertheless nicely preserved! - WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS etc.) 'Krim'-campaign-shield (as was produced by a by me unidentified maker) and that comes in a clearly issued- ie. moderately used, condition
This is neat - regrettably damaged ie. incomplete albeit just minimally stained but nevertheless nicely preserved! - example of a typical, non-maker-marked, WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS etc.) 'Krim'-campaign-shield as was produced by a by me unidentified maker and that comes in a most certainly issued and/or moderately worn, condition. The shield misses its woolen 'backing', metal-based back-plate and all its four prongs (which were once mounted in the center of the shield as can be seen on the pictures). The shield - which is minimally converse-shaped as more often - retains, nevertheless, most of its original, bright-golden-coloured- and somewhat 'glossy' finish ie. bronze-like appearance (a fair bit of its period 'Brennlack' is still present) and was never cleaned nor polished: it does show some minimal staining only simply caused by decades of storage only. Simply a neat 'Heeres ie. Waffen-SS'-pattern example that was surely issued and worn. I deem that I have priced this damaged- ie. incomplete specimen, accordingly!
