This is a neat example of a typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based WH (Heeres) and/or: 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'St.Kp.Gren.Ers Btl. 19' (and as such being a disc that was intended for a soldier (or NCO) who served within the root (ie. 'Stamm') company of the: 'Grenadier (ie. rifle) 'Ergänzungs' (or replacement) Bataillon, numbered: '19' being a specific infantry-related formation) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The disc - which is executed in a clear and fine letter-type and that shows the soldiers'-blood-group-type ('Type 0') on its back - is still a bit dirty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. It comes as worn and/or stored for decades and originates from a private-household somewhere in Germany. Simply a nice and honest (and truly not that often encountered!) 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related ID-disc that belonged to a soldier (ie. NCO or officer) who served within a specific and not that often encountered infantry-related 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-unit. I deem that this neat disc would certainly merit further investigation!
