Superb - and truly rarely found! - SA- (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen'-) related collar-tab-device (ie. 'Kragenspiegel-Auflage') as was specifically intended for usage by a member of the so-called: 'Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst' (o. 'V.G.A.D.')
This is very attractive - and with certainty truly rarely found! - silver-toned, SA- (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen'-) related collar-tab-device (ie. 'Kragenspiegel-Auflage') being a clearly maker- (ie. 'RzM 62') maked specimen as was specifically intended for usage by a member of the so-called: 'Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst' (o. 'V.G.A.D.') and that comes in an overall nicely preserved- (and I deem most certainly worn-), condition. The circular-shaped badge has an approximate diameter of only 3,1 cms. and does show some minimal age, wear and tarnished staining (as can be seen on the pictures). These devices were worn onto a black-coloured collar-tab (on the right side as can be seen on the attached photo). This obscure TR-period- and SA-related organisation (of which not much information is known) was formed on 1 July 1939 (of staff-members of both the 5th and 128th 'SA-Standarten') and was tasked to 'patrol the borders around the city of Danzig'. The piece on offer here still retains both its (I deem once bent but still functional) prongs in place and was never cleaned nor polished. Simply a very attractive SA- (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen'-) related collar-tab-device (ie. 'Kragenspiegel-Auflage') as was specifically intended for usage by a member of the so-called: 'Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst' (o. 'V.G.A.D.')!
