Attractive - and matching! - pair of RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') officers'-type shoulderboards (of the 2nd pattern) as mounted onto black-coloured (and velvet-based) 'underlays' as intended for a medium-ranked RAD-officer ('mittlere Führer')

The attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') officers'-type shoulderboard-pair (ie. 'Schulterstücksatz für mittlere Führer des Reichsarbeitsdienstes') was intended for usage by a medium-ranked, RAD-officer (ie. 'Feldmeister') comparable with the rank of: 'Leutnant') and comes in a simply never used- ie. virtually mint- ie. still tied-together-, conditon. The pair on offer here is of the second-pattern type (as was used between the years 1936 and 1941) and is constructed from the specific, black-coloured- and/or: typical 'velvet-type' wool (and having the silverish-grey-toned 'upperdecks'). The pair is constructed from (somewhat sub-dued) silver-toned 'braid' as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive shoulderboards - which came mounted onto their smaller-sized tongues - were simply never used nor tunic-attached: they just show some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by decades of storage only (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from a smaller RAD-related insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. It should be noted that these RAD-related, officers'-type shoulderboard-sets as were intended for a RAD-official ie.: 'RAD-Führer des mittlerer Dienstes' can easily be graded: 'fairly scarce'. I deem that this attractive pair is accordingly priced!
