Attractive, later-war-period WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and/or: trapezoid-shaped breasteagle ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres' (being a darker-green-coloured example that comes in a 'virtually mint' condition)
This is an attractive - and actually not that often encountered! - example of a typical later-war-period, WH (Heeres) so-called: 'M44'-pattern- (and/or trapezoid-shaped) officers'-pattern breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being a darker-green-coloured example that is executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave (ie. 'flat-wire'-) pattern and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem 'virtually mint'- and/or simply never tunic-attached-), condition. The piece - which is executed in darker-green-coloured linnen - comes as 'straightly cut of the role' and will be hard to be upgraded (it just shows some minimal fraying on both sides and is a tiny bit wrinkled). This was the 'standard'-issue-pattern WH breasteagle as was used on most (later-war and/or battle-dress shaped) 'M-44-model officers'-type tunics. The eagle comes of course in a fully unconfectioned condition and just bears some truly minimal staining and/or wrinkled appearance simply caused by years of storage only. Simply a very nice example: great to restore any M44 officers'-type, army-tunic or ideally fitted to be stored in any eagle- ie. cloth-collection!
