Attractive - and clearly used and carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'! - WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') being of the 'last-ditch'- (ie. later-war-period-) and/or machine-embroidered-pattern
This is an attractive - and clearly used and/or carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'! example of a laterwar-pattern, WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') being of the 'last-ditch'- (ie. later-war-period-) and neatly machine-embroidered-pattern and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. These (somewhat roughly-embroidered) versions of the 'standard-pattern' army-type breasteagle were introduced in late 1944 ie. beginning 1945 and saw only limited usage. They are sometimes found on the - battle-dress like-model-, so-called: '1944-type' Heeres tunics. The piece on offer here comes in a clearly used and/or carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'-condition: it was once (neatly machine-stitched!) onto a 'HBT'-styled 'Heeres'-tunic and still shows the remains on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and not that easily encountered! - WH (Heeres) breast-eagle that comes in a wonderful and carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'-condition!
