Attractive - albeit single! - example of a WH (Heeres), early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or rounded-style) neatly 'cyphered' EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abts. o. Rgts.'
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless very scarcely found! - example of a WH (Heeres), early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or rounded-style) neatly 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilungs- o. Regiments' (or: simple soldier and/or student at one of the artilleryt-troops-related, training-institutes) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. moderately used- ie. worn- and/or carefully 'cut-off-a-tunic'-), condition. The neat strap - which has the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdeck' - show the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured- (and/or woolen-type-) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 12,5 cms. in length and never had a tongue attached: it was clearly used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern and comes in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition, overall. The strap shows the neat Gothic-styled (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') so-called: 'L'-cypher which is executed in the bright-red-coloured wool or linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which is of the 'standard-issued' pattern - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern 'Lehr'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres'-artillery-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by 'Soldat eines Artillerieb-Lehr-Abteilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
