Attractive - fully matching and never worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for usage by a: 'Major der Infanterie-Truppen' (and that still shows its period inventory-etiket)
The truly attractive - fully matching and simply never used nor worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards is piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and was intended for usage by a: 'Major der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: infantry-major or higher) and that came with its period-attached inventory-etiket as found. The shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were most certainly never used nor tunic-attached and show some minimal storage-age and/or staining only (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards come mounted onto their (smaller-sized) tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 9,3 cms. in length each and never had any pips nor cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that they were intended for an army-officer who held the rank of: 'Major' (ie. major) serving within the: 'Infanterie-Truppen'. Taking into account the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-tunic'. Of addtional interest is naturally the fact that this pair still retains its period-attached inventory-etiket (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Major der Infanterie-Truppen' and that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced: it will be impossible to upgrade this pair!
