The attractive - fully matching and actually not that easily found! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboard-pair is piped in the neat bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour and was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied einer Panzer- o. Panzerjäger-Abts., Rgts. o. Division' (or: officer who served within a specific tank- ie. anti-tank or tank-destroyer unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or most certainly worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards show two pairs of the neat (regular-sized, golden-coloured and 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached denoting that the pair was intended for an officer who held the rank of: 'Hauptmann' (or: captain). All four devices show some regular age and/or minimal tarnish. The straps - that show moderate age, wear and or staining - are truly 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type 'Panzer'-shoulderboards and have the greyish-silver-coloured (ie. sub-dued) 'upperdecks'. The boards show the desirable bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the smooth-type wool as to be expected). The boards - that measure approximately 11,3 cms. in length each - never had any tongues attached and are a typical pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (and were clearly used as such). These boards could be used on the regular field-grey-coloured tunics but also saw usage onto the typical, black-coloured Panzer-type 'wrap-around'-tunics. This particular pair originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply a very attractive Panzer-related shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied einer Panzer- o. Panzerjäger-Abts. o. Division'!
