Superb - and fully matching! - pair of 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for - and clearly used by! - a: 'Major u. Mitglied einer Eisenbahn-Pioniere-Abteilungs'

The truly attractive - and only moderately used and worn and as such actually scarcely encountered! - pair is piped in the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour and was as such intended for usage by a: 'Major u. Mitglied einer Eisenbahn-Pioniere-Abteilungs ' (or: major who served within an armoured-trains-related, engineers unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem clearly issued-, moderately worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are truly 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Pioniere'-shoulderboards and have the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat sub-dued) 'upperdecks' (making this a pair that was most likely intended for usage on a regular 'front-used'-tunic). The boards show the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended to be used as a pair of the 'sew-in-'type: they were carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the neat (Gothic-styled, regular- ie. larger-sized, bright-golden-toned and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based-) so-called: 'E'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached. The boards measure approximately 10 cms. in length each and do show some clear age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that both cyphers were board-attached BEFORE they were fully assembled. Simply an attractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Major u. Mitglied einer Eisenbahn-Pioniere-Abteilungs': I deem that I have priced this attractive and truly scarcely found pair accordingly!
