This is a neat - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres), officers'-type shoulderboard as piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant u. Mitglied einer Pionier-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within an engineers'-unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem issued and used- ie. minimally worn-), condition. The board - which measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length and that has a somewhat 'sub-dued', greyish-silver-coloured 'upperdeck' - shows some minor wear, age and/or minimal staining. The board comes without tongue and was with certainty issued- (and used as) as a board of 'sew-in'-pattern. The board shows a single (golden-toned- and somewhat tarnished) pip period-attached. The piece came with a regular-sized tunic-button attached. Simply a neat 'Pioniere'-related, officers'-type shoulderboard: too bad that it is only a single example!
