Neat pair of RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') hand-embroidered, officers'-type collar-tabs (of the 2nd pattern) as mounted onto a black-coloured- (ie. velvet-based) background as intended for a medium-ranked RAD-officer ('mittlere Führer')
The attractive - clearly used- and/or tunic-removed and actually scarcely encountered! - RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') hand-embroidered collar-tab pair (ie. 'Kragenspiegelsatz für mittlere Führer des Reichsarbeitsdienstes') was intended for usage by a medium-ranked RAD-officer (ie. 'Feldmeister bis Oberfeldmeister' comparable with the rank of: 'Leutnant' to: 'Hauptmann') and comes in a clearly used- (ie. carefully tunic-removed-), conditon. The pair on offer here is of the second-pattern type (as was used between the years 1936 and 1941) and is constructed from the specific, black-coloured- and/or: typical 'velvet-type' wool. The pair shows extraordinary hand-embroidery and is constructed from (shiny!) silver-toned 'braid' as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive collar-tab-pair - which shows the beige-brownish coloured- and buckram-based 'backings' as to be expected - was just moderately used and/or worn: it just shows some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage only (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from a smaller RAD-related insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. It should be noted that these RAD-related, officers'-type collar-tab-sets as were intended for: 'RAD-Führer des mittlerer Dienstes' can easily be graded: 'fairly scarce'. I deem that this attractive pair is accordingly priced!
