Superb - and very rarely encountered! - hand-embroidered (I deem) Dutch- (ie. Flemish-) volunteer-related 'Algemene SS' (ie. black uniformed SS) so-called: 'Dienstraute' (or: in Dutch language 'mouw-embleem')
This a very attractive - and actually very rarely encountered! - neatly hand-embroidered (ie. presumably 'tailor-made') Dutch- (ie. Flemish-) volunteer-related 'Algemene SS' (ie. black uniformed SS) so-called: 'Dienstraute' (or: in Dutch language 'mouw-embleem') that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem issued albeit never worn- nor tunic-attached-), condition. The fairly large-sized 'Dienstraute' shows the typical (somewhat longer-sized) SS-runes and is executed onto a black-coloured- and smooth-woolen-based background: it is naturally also piped with the twisted, black-/silver-coloured piping (as per regulation). The neat piece shows a (beige-coloured) carton-based backing (as is more often seen). The silver-toned (and braid-based) embroidery of the runes is very nicely executed but does show some minimal corrosion-marks (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very attractive and truly rarely found Dutch (ie. Flemish-) related armbadge: only the first such rare example I ever had on offer!
