'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry-assault-badge ie. IAB) being a maker- (ie. 'ÜÜ'-) marked, 'solid-back-example as was (I deem) produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company and that comes in a relic condition
This a most certainly issued- and/or clearly worn example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry-assault-badge ie. IAB) being a clearly maker- (ie. (ie. 'ÜÜ'-) marked, so-called: 'solid-back-example as was executed in darkened, greyish-silver-toned, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) and that was - I deem - produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company and that comes in a clearly issued- and/or regrettably damaged- ie. relic-), condition. This example is a typical maker-marked award and shows the various characteristics as only seen on IABs as produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company as was based in the town of Frankfurt a. Main. The war-badge seems to be (recently) uncleaned and has a clearly tarnished age-patina: it is, moreover, a bit corroded in certain areas (as can be seen on the pictures). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an honest 'Feinzink'-based, silver-class IAB of the 'solid-back'-variant-type that was produced the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann' and that is (I deem) priced according to its 'relic' condition!
