Single, WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- and I deem 'tailor-made') shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger- o. Jäger-Regiments'
This is a neat - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and (I deem) 'tailor-made' NCO-shoulderstrap as was piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger- o. Jäger-Regiments' (or: NCO and/or sergeant who served within an army mountain-troops regiment or unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 10,5 cms. sized in length as more often - has the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdeck' (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows the woolen-type piping and has the standard-issued, silver-toned NCO-braid and a single (aluminium-based) pip period-attached denoting the NCOs-rank of: 'Feldwebel' ie. sergeant (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which comes mounted onto its smaller-sized tongue and that came with a field-grey-toned tunic-button - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present): moreover, does it shows some glue-remains caused by having been glued into an album or scrapbook once. It should be noted that all 'Gebirgsjäger'-related, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This particular strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: pre- (ie early-) war-period, 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger o. Jäger-Regiments'!
