Superb - and actually rarely encountered! - 'SS-Dienstauszeichnung der 3. Stufe' (or loyal-service medal for 8 years of loyal-service in the SS) that comes together with its (never mounted!) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') & accompanying 'Halbminiatur'

The truly very attractive - and typically non-maker-marked and most certainly rarely found! - 'SS-Dienstauszeichnung der 3. Stufe' (or: bronze-toned, loyal-service medal for 8 years of loyal-service in the SS, being an example of the so-called: '2nd pattern') is a truly detailed piece that truly retains all of its fairly 'frosted'-styled, darkened- and/or bronze-toned finish as issued and/or stored for decades. The award - which is as always executed in so-called: 'Buntmetall' - came together with its (equally executed) 'Halbminiatur' (ie miniature) and a (never mounted, folded and/or approx. 20 cms. sized) cornflower-blue-coloured ribbon as to be expected. The regular-sized medal comes mounted onto its typically shaped ring (ie. 'Tropfenöse') and has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished - it shows some minimal tarnish - and has an immaculate (ie. fully undamaged-) bronze-coloured age-patina somethiong that is also valid for the miniature (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive example of the: 'SS-Dienstauszeichnung der 3. Stufe'-set that will be impossible to be upgraded!
