Superb, genuine silver-based, 'Preussen'-related commemorative-award-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Auszeichnungsplakette' or: 'Ehejubiläums-Medaille zur Hochzeit Wilhelm II u. Auguste Victoria' and that came stored in its period etui
This is a very attractive - and with certainty not that often encountered! - typical genuine silver-based, so-called: commemorative-award-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Auszeichnungsplakette') or: 'Ehejubiläums-Medaille zur zur Hochzeit Wilhelm II u. Auguste Victoria' that comes stored in its period, darker-red- (ie. 'bordeaux'-) coloured and genuine leather-based etui as issued and kept as such for decades. The neat table-medal (that was apparently awarded in order to commemorate the mariage of the King of Prussia, named: Wilhelm II) comes stored in its period etui (ie. 'Verleihungsetui'). The neat - large-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece that shows a stylished illustration of the Wilhelm and his wife on its front - has an approximate diameter of 4,5 cms. and has very pronounced detail as to be expected. It was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and has maintained a truly fantastic (very shiny- ie. truly frosted-) silverish-toned age-patina that still shows all of its high-polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten') as can be seen on the pictures. The bordeaux-red-coloured (and square-shaped) etui - comes in an equally very nicely preserved condition and shows a (fully preserved and clearly present, golden-toned) 'Wilhelm II'-logo in its top and shows a darker-blue-coloured- and velvet-based 'inlay' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades. Simply a very attractive, complete - and with certainty unusually encountered! - 'Preussen'-related, table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
