Stunning - 'quality-produced' and unusually 'slantwise-mounted'! - three-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') and accompanying: 'Feld-/Bandspange' by the famous 'Gebr. Godet'-company showing various WWI- and/or TR-period awards
The truly very attractive - 'quality-produced' and unusually 'slantwise-mounted'! - medal-bar(set) (ie. 'Ordenspangen-Satz') respectively shows (from top to bottom) a WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a bronze-toned WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern') and a neatly silvered: 'Treuedienst Ehrenzeichen 2. Klasse' (or: silver-class, loyal-service-medal for 25 yrs. of loyal civil-service) all three awards coming in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. All three awards are truly nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty (ie. used) condition and come naturally mounted on their period ribbons. The entire 'Spange' (which is of the 'non-detachable-pattern') comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch set-up and is 'backed' with a piece of greyish-coloured wool (which shows a neat makers'-etiket that shows the woven text: 'Gebr. Godet & Co. - Ordensjuweliere - Berlin Charlottenstr. 55' (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this 'Ordenspange' came with its accompanying, three-pieced 'Band/Feldspange' (ie. ribbon-bar) having exactly the same set-up as worn- and/or stored for decades something that is not often the case. This super medal-bar(set) was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike and was kept as such for decades. Simply an attractive - and truly decorative! - three-pieced- and unusually 'slantwise-mounted'-medal-bar(set) by a great (and very desirable!) maker- ie. tailor that is not that easily found and that is most certainly accordingly priced!
