This is a neat - and/or fully matching! - WH (Heeres) fairly high-ranked officers'-type, neatly 'cyphered' shoulderboard-pair as was specifically intended for usage by an officer holding the rank of: 'Oberstleutnant der Artillerie-Truppen' (or: artillery-lieutnant-colonel) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem most certainly issued- and/or clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderboards - which are piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour - are executed in the typical 'smooth'- (ie. moleskin) type wool as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderboards measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each and never had any tongues attached: they were worn on the tunic by means of (unusual and chromed-metal-based 'attachment-hooks' as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards - which have the smooth-woolen-based 'backings' and/or silverish (ie. somewhat 'shiny'-) 'upperdecks' - were presumably a pair that was intended for usage on a dress ie. 'Ausgeh'-tunic. The boards show a pair of (fully matching, larger-sized- and/or neatly golden-toned albeit minimally tarnished) - pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Oberstleutnant'. Both devices retain their original prongs. The pair was (I deem) just minimally used and/or worn as such (as can be deducted from the present condition). This pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a neat fairly high-ranked officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberstleutnant der Artillerie-Truppen'!
