Neat - fully matching albeit regrettably moth-damaged - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann der Panzer-Grenadier-Truppen'
The neat - and most certainly worn and regrettably somewhat moth-damaged - WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboard-pair is a typical, 'text-book'-example of a Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboard-pair and has the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'shiny'-type-) 'upperdecks': the pair was clearly once tunic-attached and does show some obvious age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended to be used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each and show two (regular-sized, Buntmetall-based and somewhat tarnished) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that the officer who wore this set held the rank of: 'Hauptmann' (ie. captain). Simply a neat WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann der Panzer-Grenadier-Truppen' and that is I deem priced according to its moth-damaged condition!
