Attractive, pre-war-period WH (LW) silver-coloured, aluminium-based belt-buckle that comes mounted onto its maker- (ie. 'Schneider - Lüdenscheid'-) marked and/or: '1939'-dated) tab and that comes in a moderately used- ie. worn, condition
This is an attractive - albeit clearly used- and/or worn! - example of an early- (ie. pre-) war-period- (and/or typical 'down-tailed'-pattern!) WH (Luftwaffe) silver-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based EM/NCO-type belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere der Luftwaffe') that comes mounted onto its maker- (ie. I deem 'Schneider - Lüdenscheid'-) marked and/or: '1939'-dated) tab and that comes in a moderately used- ie. worn-, condition. The buckle - which is of a 'single-pieced'- ie. 'molded'-construction retains all of its somewhat 'shiny', silverish-grey-coloured finish without showing any real defaults it does show moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows some obvious dust caused by over more than 80 years of storage. The leather-based tab is naturally also still fully functional and souple: it shows a typical oval-shaped makers'-designition-stamp that reads: 'Schneider - Lüdenscheid - 1939) (as can be seen in the pictures) and remains in an equally nicely preserved condition overall (it was I deem never greased nor oiled but does show some minimal age ie. staining). The buckle itself is non-maker-marked as is more often observed (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these neatly 'down-tailed' examples are nowadays quite difficult to encounter someting that I deem merits my asking-price. The piece originates from a older belt-buckle-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, early- (ie. pre-) war period- and/or: 'down-tailed'-pattern, 'Luftwaffe'-example that is I deem accordingly priced!
