Superb - and most certainly unusually seen! - frosted-silver-toned, TR-period shooting-medal showing on its front a uniformed hunter and that is entitled: 'Schützengau Mittelbaden - Gauschiessen Pforzheim - 1933 - Im Jahre der nat. Erhebung'
This is a very attractive - and most certainly unusually ie. scarcely seen! - frosted-silver-toned, TR-period shooting-medal (ie. 'Schiessauszeichnung') that is showing two detailed uniformed hunters on its front and that shows a swastika on its back and that is entitled: 'Schützengau Mittelbaden - Gauschiessen Pforzheim - 1933 - Im Jahre der nat. Erhebung' and that comes in a most certainly issued- and/or moderately worn-, condition. The shooting-award is - I deem - a typical example that was issued by one of the various: 'Schützenbunder' (ie. shooting-associations) and was issued at a locally-held shooting-competition that was held in the year 1933. The back of the medal shows a swastika and super-imposed text: 'Schützengau Mittelbaden - Gauschiessen Pforzheim - 1933 - Im Jahre der nat. Erhebung'. The medal - which is totally void of a makers'-designation as more often - comes without a ribbon as found (as can be seen on the pictures). This attractive example has an approximate diameter of 3,5 cms. and originates from a German private-household and was never before part of a collection. I deem that I did price this attractive (I deem regional- ie. provincial-issued) 'Schiessauszeichnung', accordingly!
