Attractive - truly converse-shaped! - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink' and/or partly 'Buntmetall'-) based- and non-maker-marked example of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Bronze'
This is an attractive - very pronounced and truly converse-shaped- ie. vaulted! - example of a typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink' and/or partly 'Buntmetall'-) based, non-maker-marked WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Bronze' (or: bronze-class bomber-pilots'-clasp ie. FFS) as was produced by a (by me) unidentified maker and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat piece has simply extraordinary detail and retains most of its period-applied- (and somewhat bright), golden-bronze-toned finish: the silver-blue-coloured- (and 'Buntmetall'-based!) eagle-device (which is additionally attached to the clasp) is equally detailed and also retains most of its silver-toned and/or minimal 'tarnished' finish. The piece shows, however, great character and/or fine, pronounced detail. The clasp comes naturally in great shape ie. order: the (golden-coloured) pin-/ie. pin-attachment, period-catch and/or single rivet are in fine (and/or undamaged nor repaired-) order. The clasp has never been cleaned nor polished and has a neat and/or slightly tarnished 'age-patina'. It originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before part of any collection. Simply a neat - and not that often encountered! - Luftwaffe-award ie. FFS that is with certainty accordingly priced!
