Superb, 3-pieced WWII-period medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') and accompanying ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band-/Feldspange') showing resp. a: 'KvK II.Kl. m. S.', a: Czech 'Anschluss'-medal and a: 'Deutsch-Italienische Feldzugsmedaille'
This is a truly very attractive, three-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') and accompanying ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band-/Feldspange') respectively depicting a: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwerter' (or: war-merits' cross 2nd class with swords), a neatly golden-toned: WH Czech occupation medal: '1 Oktober 1938' (as was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) and a: 'Deutsch-Italienische Feldzugsmedaille' as executed in golden-toned 'Buntmetall' all three pieces coming in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. All three awards are truly bronze-coloured and 'fairly frosted' examples that are just minimally tarnished by age and/or moderate usage and wear (as can be seen on the pictures) but are both void of any real damage or alike. They come naturally mounted onto their period ribbons and have a nicely preserved age-patina and are just a tiny bit dirty: they were (I deem) never cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The pronounced war-merits'-cross or: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerter' is a detailed, golden-bronze-toned- (and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) example that retains most of its minimally darkened, golden-bronze finish. The attractive 'Deutsch-Italienische Feldzugsmedaille' is stamped by the designer ie. cutter (named: 'De Marohis') and is also neatly maker-marked ('Lorioli-Milano') as is always the case with these neat and desirable commemorative awards. The medal (aka: German-Italian campaign medal) truly retains all of its golden-bronze-coloured finish and has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished: it is simply a tiny bit dirty and retains truly fantastic and/or pronounced detail. All three medals have a truly nicely preserved age-patina and are just a tiny bit dirty: they were never cleaned nor polished and come naturally mounted on their period-attached ribbons. The entire 'Spange' is neatly 'backed' with a piece of black-coloured wool and comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch-set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). The Spange came with its accompanying (and matching!) three-pieced ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band-/Feldspange') that comes in an equally nicely preserved albeit worn condition. This neat medal-bar-grouping was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike and was kept as such for decades. Simply an attractive - and truly decorative! - three-pieced medal-bar(set) that is not that easily found and that is most certainly accordingly priced!
