Attractive, 'BeVo'-type armshield entitled: 'Turkistan' (being of the scarcely encountered third and final pattern!) that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion'
This particular volunteer-armshield - being of the scarcely encountered third and final pattern - shows a 'bow-and-arrow'-symbol on a bright-pink- and light-blue-coloured background with above the (German) text: 'Turkistan' and is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique and comes in a non-confectioned- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' condition) as recently found. It was never trimmed- nor pre-folded and comes 'as straightly and carefully cut-off the role' (as can be seen on the pictures). This example - that shows some minimal staining - is one of the more scarcely seen 'BeVo'-type arm-shields to encounter and is one of the few such examples I ever had on offer in a 15-year period. This shield comes as stated in a 'minty' and never tunic-attached condition (it shows, however, minimal staining caused by decades of storage only) and is very different from the many copies that are regrettably in existance today. These - original - 'official' arm-shields of the third- (and final) pattern as executed in 'BeVo'-type weave (ie. German manufacture by the company of 'BeVo'!) can be easily considered 'scarce' and are quite difficult to encounter!
