Attractive, WH (KM) 'Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungs-Verbände' being a clearly maker- (ie. 'Fec. Otto Placzek Berlin - Ausf. Schwerin - Berlin'-) marked example as executed in multi-coloured metal (ie. 'Feinzink')
The attractive - and truly quality-produced- and - I deem - mid-war-period produced! - naval-award or: 'Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungs-Verbände' (or: mine-sweeper war-badge) comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition as recently found. The badge truly retains great pronounced detail and retains, moreover, most (ie. all!) of its 'off-factory' silver- ie. golden-coloured finish and retains fine details (as can be seen on the pictures): the piece was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished (but was, nevertheless, moderately used and/or worn). The award - which is of the typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based-pattern - shows a clearly present, super-imposed makers'-designation (that reads: 'Fec. Otto Placzek Berlin - Ausf. Schwerin - Berlin') as is to be expected for a quality-produced war-badge by this particular maker. The award comes naturally mounted onto its (fully functional- and totally unaltered) (typical) pin- and/or pin-catch set-up as to be expected. I deem that I have priced this attractive naval 'Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungs-Verbände by the desirable 'Hersteller 'Schwerin - Berlin' accordingly!
