  1. Wound Badges

This is an attractive - and detailed- albeit just moderately worn and used! - example of a WWI-period, black-class wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') being a clearly used example of the so-called: 'Durchbrochener'-pattern that comes in an overall nice- (albeit obviously used- and/or worn-), condition. The (magnetic) wound-badge - which is an unmarked version as is always encountered with this type of WBs - shows fair wear and/or age and has lost most of its black-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge - which comes naturally mounted onto its functional, long-sized- (and steel-based, thin-shaped) pin and that has an undamaged and/or: functional catch - still retains extraordinary and/or pronounced detail: it just shows some rust-staining, mainly on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive and original 'Durchbrochenes' specimen that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
