Larger-sized, WH (Kriegsmarine): 'DAK' (ie. 'Deutsches Afrikakorps') zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based- and 'Feuervergoldeten' so-called: 'pith-helmet' eagle-device being a maker- ('K.W.M.'-) marked example, still retaining its original prong
This is an attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - very detailed example of a WH (Kriegsmarine): 'DAK' (ie. 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'), I deem typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based- and/or: bright-golden-toned- (ie 'Feuervergoldeter') so-called: 'pith-helmet' eagle-device being a nicely maker- (ie. 'K.W.M.'-) marked example that still retains its original attachment-prong and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. only minimally worn- ie. used-), condition. These - detailed and/or truly pronounced - tropical-issued pieces having an approximate wingspan of 10,7 cms. - were worn on the front of the beige-coloured naval pith-helmets. The piece on offer here retains most of its original (bright-golden-toned-) finish but does show some minimal scratches ie. paint-damaged areas (I deem simply caused by decades of storage and moderate wear). Actually, are these genuine KM-pith-helmet eagle-devices - having their single, central-placed prong in place - not that easily encountered. Simply a nice opportunity to acquire an original 'DAK' (ie. 'Afrikakorps') so-called: Kriegsmarine-type 'pith-helmet'-eagle-device for a competitive price!
