Attractive - and scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as executed on a greenish-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was intended for usage by a: 'Stabsgefreiter'
This is an attractive - and actually scarcely found! - example of a WH (Heeres) rank-patch ie. 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as was executed on a greenish-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier having the unusally seen rank of: 'Stabsgefreiter' (ie. senior-private) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued albeit never worn- nor even tunic-attached-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed and shows a detailed, machine-embroidered- (and silverish-white-coloured) 'star' whereunder a double-stripe of greyish-coloured- and/or 'standard'-pattern NCO-braid can be observed. The patch was presumably issued but was (I deem) never tunic-attached and will be hard to be upgraded. The piece is (partly) additionally 'backed' with a piece of greyish-blue-coloured linnen (as can be seen on the pictures). This in HBT-material executed piece was most certainly intended for army (ie. Heeres) usage and could not be used by an SS-staffmember simply due to the fact that this particular rank did NOT exist within the (Waffen) SS. Simply an attractive WH 'Heeres'-type rank-badge that is I deem priced according to its unmistaken scarcity!
