Stunning - and actually rarely found! - WH (Heeres) aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Uffz. u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being a non-maker-marked example that retains an (almost) fully preserved, field-grey toned 'finish'
This is a truly very attractive - and actually rarely found! - WH (Heeres) aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being (as more often) a non-maker-marked example that retains an (almost) fully preserved, field-grey-toned finish and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. still 'virtually mint'!-) condition. The almost certainly pre-war-produced piece - which was produced by a by me unidentified maker - was presumably issued as piece that came mounted onto its genuine leather-based 'tab': this tab was, however, period-removed for unidentified reason. The buckle shows some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures) but is totally void of any damage or alike. Of additional interest is, naturally, the fact that it still retains most (ie. all!) of its period, field-grey-coloured, sprayed finish (something that is most certainly NOT that often the case). The buckle - which still retains extraordinary detail as to be expected - is totally void of any makers'-designation as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece orginates from an older belt-buckle-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this attractive WH (Heeres) belt-buckle according to its very nicely preserved- and fully untouched condition!
