Stunning - fully matching and truly very rarely seen! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as was specifically intended for an: 'Oberleutnant des Kradschützen-Bataillon 3 der Pz.- u. Inf.-Div.'
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty very rarely seen! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hell- o. wiesengrüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Kradschützen-Bataillon 3 der Panzer- u. Infanterie-Divisionen' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within the reconnaissance motorcycle-unit, numbered: '3') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem hardly- ie. just minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the bright-green- (ie. 'hell- o. wiesengrüner'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some minimal age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11 cms. in length each - show a fully matching pair of the neat (Gothic-styled, golden-toned, 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or larger-sized) 'K'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern'), a pair of (identical and equally-styled) '3'-numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') and two (identical, somewhat tarnished and equally golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Oberleutnant des Kradschützen-Bataillon 3 der Panzer- u. Infanterie-Divisionen'. The straps never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as (ie. used as) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Kradschützen-Bataillon 3 der Panzer- u. Infanterie-Divisionen' and that is I deem priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
