This is a very attractive - and with certainty not that easily found! - example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) officers'- (ie. evt. NCO-) type, hand-embroidered- (and truly very detailed!) naval-type visor-cap-eagle (ie. 'Schirmmützenadler für Offiziere der Kriegsmarine') being executed in various types of bright-golden-coloured (and 'Cellueon'-based) braid onto a darker-blue-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (and as stated above never visor-cap-attached- ie. 'virtually mint'), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 7,8 cms. - is very nicely hand-embroidered using amongst other material (bright) golden-coloured 'braid' ie. 'Cellueon' onto a darker-blue-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and has some 'highlighted areas' as executed in golden-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often - shows a typical beige-coloured- and/or thin-shaped and/or paper-based 'backing' attached (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem this a typical piece that originates from a (foreign?) private tailor-shop or maker. Simply a very attractive example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) officers'-type 'Schirmmützenadler' of the 'Extra Qualität' that is with certainty accordingly priced: one of the nicest such examples I ever had on offer for quite some time!
