This is an attractive example of an (I deem) typical WH (Luftwaffe) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as was executed on a beige-white-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier holding the rank of: 'Obergefreiter' and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem simply never worn- nor once tunic-attached-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed on a beige-white-coloured 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based material and shows a detailed 'double-stripe' of greyish-tan-coloured (ie. 'dotted'-pattern and 'sub-dued') NCO-braid attached. The patch shows some storeage-age ie. staining only. The piece is not backed as more often encountered (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' Luftwaffe-related rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply an attractive beige-toned, rank-badge ie. 'Armwinkel' as executed on a 'Drillich'-based background that will be hard to be upgraded!
