Attractive - and minimally used! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid (on field-grey!) as intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
This is an attractive - and with certainty used and/or I deem carefully tunic-removed! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and truly detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid on an (unusually seen!) field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (and as stated above I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 11,6 cms. - is very nicely hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a field-grey-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and does show some 'high-lighted'-areas as executed in greenish-grey-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often and that does show minimal usage and wear as can be noticed on the pictures - shows a neat additional 'backing' (made-out of black-toned linnen as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and unusually seen! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle of the 'Extra Qualität' that is accordingly priced!
