Four-pieced - and unusually found! - WH (Heeres o. LW) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspange') showing resp. the ribbons for a: 'KvK II.Kl.o. Schw.', a WWI-period 'FKK m. Schw.', a: Czech 'Anschluss'-medal and a: 'D. Olympia-E.medaille 1936'
The attractive - and just moderately used- ie. worn - four-pieced, WH (Heeres o. LW) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspange') respectively depicts the ribbons for a: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class without swords), a: WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwertern'), a: WH Czech occupation ie. 'Anschluss' medal: '1 October 1938' (as was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) and a: 'Deutsche Olympia-Erinnerungsmedaille 1936'. All four ribbons are of the regular (ie. smaller) ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1,5 cms. each as is more often encountered (the piece has thus a total length of approximately 6 cms.). The 'Spange' comes in an overall nice condition and is of course fully functional: it is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but comes mounted onto a metal-based backing-plate (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece retains its functional pin- ie. pin/catch-attachment. The - firmly-attached - sword-device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been nicely preserved. This particular example was - I deem - only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive - and in this combination not that easily found! - 4-pieced, WH 'Band-/Feldspange': great to decorate almost any Heeres- or Luftwaffe-tunic!
